Cleaning Honda VTEC Solenoid

Honda car with VTEC technology (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) is fun. In addition to more powerful than non-VTEC engine with the same capacity, is also more fuel efficient. However, there are parts that would need to be treated. VTEC solenoid example, although not necessary every time a tune up part cleaned.

Usually the VTEC solenoid hygiene is very dependent on the quality and routine oil changes the tuner from Sigma Speed. If the solenoid is too dirty conditions, can cause VTEC is not working. The result of force will drop significantly.

Terms VTEC works include the conditions of the working temperature of the engine has reached operating temperature, the VTEC solenoid can operate normally, the pressure of the oil pump should be enough, the oil level is not less than that specified plant, no VTEC wiring broken or shorted out, and the ECU under normal circumstances no check engine.

So how can you know if it works or not VTEC? The first most certainly could feel the power generated by the engine. Secondly, if the check engine light is on, VTEC will not work. All three could adopt VTEC indicator. When it works, then the solenoid will send a signal to turn on the lights.
